I've just played this game and I think that it's absolutely brilliant. Any moral centre you might try and attribute to this experience is elusive, but I quite like that about it. The artistry is low-res but very effective and adds to that obscure element.
I might be way off... but, to me, this is a game about obliterating something beautiful, whether that's out of malice or necessity. The eyes watching you at the end could be your own reservations about the process? I don't know. I just know that I'm super thankful you made this! It's really inspired me to make some more of my own stuff. Added to my 'gems' collection!

I played through your game and absolutely loved the whole experience. It's surreal, it's eerie and the ending was hella creepy. The visuals were authentically low-fi and the soundtrack was just the cherry on the top of this experience. So rad!
