this game is absolutely amazing every time I play it I find something new, it is definitely one of my favorites!!!!!

You got some inspiration from LSD from PS1? Loved the game ;) <3

(+3)

Aww thank you! Honestly, I wasn't directly inspired by LSD Dream Simulator, more by other game developers that were.

I was really inspired by 0°N 0°W, which you should definitely check out if you haven't already!

Any chance you could add in an option to invert the mouse?

If  you're an inverted Y player like me its really really frustrating trying to look around..

(+1)

i've been designing an options menu for a future update but hadn't thought of adding an invert y option. Sounds like a good inclusion, thanks for the suggestion!

I do not know

Hello Taylor, fantastic looking game which I'm looking forward to playing. Hate to add a bug report but I'm trying to play on an ancient (10yo) mac pro. Unfortunately, I get this black square that follows throughout. Any suggestions? Or is it just the age of my machine? Thanks so much and good luck with the game.

hi Pete, I'm sorry you're having issues 😥

That definitely looks like a rendering issue with one of the shaders. Can you send me an email @ taylorswietanski@gmail.com with your graphics hardware & software information, and a more detailed description of where the black plane shows up?

To be honest, it might be a hardware limitation regarding which shader models your machine supports, but you could try updating OpenGL to the latest version and see if that help?

Either way I'd be happy to look into this for you once I get your machine specs ☺️

Taylor - thanks for the reply. Didn't want to bother you too much with this. So I tried it on a slightly less ancient mac air and all seems good. It was probably how old the hardware was but never encountered that particular issue before.

The experience is incredible by the way - congrats on a great game. Looking forward to your next...

This game is really cool and nice to explore. I dig it, man. Very strange but pretty chill too. Thanks for the interesting experience!

Thank youuu! I watched your video last night and you're right about the drawing mechanic. I'm glad you could have some fun with it 😂

I LOVE THIS... Congrats¡¡

💕

I'm assuming the credits are the ending? are there optional paths I should be looking for

idkkk, I guess you have to play and see 😉

Dude, just love this game. I finished it and the only thing i can say is that it is better than drugs. Music and graphics are 10/10, congrats :D

(+2)

damn better than drugs?? I'll have to be careful with this one then 😉

I'm glad you enjoyed it ✨✨✨

If I had to get proper lost, I want to get lost in that hotel.

Today I tried to run it on Linux under wine, the keyboard doesn't respond. The reason I tried that is to see if get better graphics on a different platform. Maybe that's irrelevant, but both under Linux and Windows the resolution was low. Is that intentionally made?

mhmm it's intentional.

there are no "better graphics".

everyone who plays sees the same thing.

hooray for the Mac build! works great. for anyone in Catalina or Big Sur on MacOS, you might have to right click, and then even maybe go to GateKeeper in System Preferences and click “Open Anyway”, but it does work beautifully. thanks for bringing it to us Apple users :)

(+1)

you're welcome!! yeah i'm not a registered apple developer, so there are a couple of extra hoops to jump through. Thanks for posting instructions for all the mac users out there ✨✨✨

Is there any way to get the crescents or circles? I found all the gates but couldn't find the shapes.

we'll see 🤐

where do i find the musics?

(+2)

it's not out yet, but there will be an announcement when it's up on bandcamp 😊

Is there a way to rebind the keys ? Cause I'm on an AZERTY keyboard so this isn't really playable as is.

there's isn't a way to rebind keys currently, but the arrow keys should still work for moving around

Ok thanks for the reply.

That was probably one of the neatest experiences Ive had from an interactive. And your visual aesthetic is pretty rad. I think I got alittle bit of the story but i couldnt really link it all together. I did get stoned while watching the Georgia okeefe documentary.

I really cant wait to see what you do next.

damn imagine smoking with Georgia. what an icon

Taos is the place. A seance could make that happen.

I like the rythms in your poem, and how they reflect in graphics too. Looks like they are written by you.

Thank you, they are 💕

those transitions are great

Loved the game and the art style you chose for it, what did you use to make the effects, I'm thinking about using similar techniques for my next game.

Thank youu! I wrote some post-processing effect shaders for most of the effects. Graphics.Blit() with a shader on your camera or rendertexture, it's a lot of fun to experiment with 😊

I loved the visual, the game has a relaxing  atmosphere.

The visuals are so amazing, I will stop everything I'm working on to learn and understand it.

aww I'm flattered! Tech art & shaders are so beautiful, you should look into render textures and post-processing effects and see what you can come up with ☺️

nice game, great visuals

(+1)

wow. i really enjoyed getting lost and figuring my way out. love how i was forced to understand without explicit directions. !!

I'm glad you like the design 😁

I'm a big fan of games that emphasize immersion over explanation, and I felt that would work for this game.

Nice work! I love the scenarios and style!
